I am often asked how I manage to write so much content both for my site and for customers. The truth is I have a few tricks that help me write more in less time allowing me to keep up with demand. But Even I need to take time to clear my mind and give myself a break so you will notice from time to time no new ads go up. This is me taking some time to recover and work slowly on my own projects before I dive back in.
There are a few tricks I have that you can use as well to help speed up your writing so you can fill your sites with more content quickly as well.
Write more than one post about the same topic at once.
Start with a list of 3-4 posts that all go around the same main topic say “tomatoes”. These posts may look like this:
- How to grow tomatoes
- What to do about blossom end rot on tomatoes
- How to get a larger yield from your tomatoes
- How to preserve tomatoes
By doing this you can work down the line while your mind is on this one particular topic. Often while researching for one post you will find information that can go in another one of the posts so doing this can save you time on research as well. Open all of these posts at once.
Build an outline
Before you start writing or even researching build an outline you can work off of. This may change and your research and write but an outline can help keep you focused and give you direction helping to prevent writer’s block. Having a few outline templates that are your go-to can make creating outlines for your content easy. Building outlines is also a great job for a teen if you have one that would like to earn a bit of extra money.
Research Keywords
One thing that can make building an outline easier is to research the keywords you want to put into your posts. This can be done with tools like SEM Rush and Ubersuggest. This will help you work keywords into your post and even find questions that are commonly asked pertaining to the keywords so you can answer those questions.
Use Grammarly
To help me write faster with fewer errors and ensure that I do not accidentally use something I read while researching in my content I use Grammarly Premium. This extension allows me to check my writing quickly and easily and even offers a plagiarism checker so I can ensure that I always pass Copyscape.
Don’t be afraid to move on and come back
Feeling stuck? Move on to the next open outline you have. Once that one is filled in odds are you can easily go back and pick up on the last one without issues. This is a great way to prevent yourself from wasting time when writer’s block kicks in and you have no idea how to make the post longer.
